Swimming New Zealand and Aon New Zealand are proud to announce Aon will join as the principal sponsor of the National Age Group and New Zealand Open Championships for two years.

The announcement comes following the growth of participating swimmers entering both championships every year.

Swimming New Zealand chief executive Steve Johns says he’s delighted to have Aon join the swimming family in what is an exciting time for the sport.

“Aon New Zealand is a passionate supporter of sport in NZ and we are really excited to have Aon onboard as the principal sponsor of our National Age Group and Open Championships for the next two years.”

A two year commitment to success sees New Zealand’s number one leading insurance broker signing on to support the development of swimming in New Zealand, with a particular interest in youth swimmers.

Aon New Zealand’s CEO, Geoff Blampied is pleased to add Swimming NZ to Aon’s sporting partners. “Our new relationship with Swimming NZ allows us to extend our successful legacy of supporting young New Zealanders to achieve their potential in the sport of their choosing.”

Aon NZ is a long-time supporter of Kiwi sports men and women and is proud to sponsor a number of sports teams and organisations including the national bodies for rowing, athletics, basketball and hockey.

Geoff Blampied sees the value in supporting a range of sports organisations, from grassroots to elite levels, and is pleased to help provide assistance so athletes can continue to strive for excellence and achieve their goals.
