Following the first event at Stellenbosch University Swimming Pool last weekend, the 2015 South African Swimming Grand Prix will head to the Kings Park Aquatics Centre from the 20th to 22nd February.

The event, which aims to provide a high level competition for South Africa’s elite swimmers, will feature the likes of Chad le Clos and Cameron van der Burgh, as well as American breaststroke swimmer Michael Andrew.

Andrew recently broke USA’s National Age Group Record in the 100m breaststroke (1:01.67) and won his first major competition, the 2015 Arena Pro Swim Series in Texas. He will be up against Cameron Van der Burgh and Giulio Zorzi who posted close entry times of 26.76 and 27.68 as well as 58.80 and 1:01.37 respectively.

Chad le Clos will be looking to follow up his four wins from the Stellenbosch event as he takes to the pool in his home town for the 100 and 200m butterfly, and 100 and 200m freestyle races.

The event will also see the likes of Karin Prinsloo, Michelle Weber and Marlies Ross fighting to defend their positions from the previous event.
